After the promising performance against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night, The Valley faithful, will be eagerly awaiting the visit of Blackpool on Saturday.

Although Charlton have not won in their last five games, they can take great confidence, from their performance against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night. A performance which, earned praise from Forest gaffer; Billy Davies, when he entered the home dressing room, post match.

Confidence is contagious. So is a lack of confidence.

On the other side of the spectrum, Blackpool have had a solid start, but have not won in their last four games. Albeit, drawing three of them, and losing to Millwall in the process. Their early season form saw them dispatch Watford & Reading.

Both sides will be itching to stop their own winless runs, but with Charlton at the wrong end of the table, they will be striving to turn their fortunes around.

It wouldn’t surprise me, if Chrissie selected the same XI that started against jordancousinsForest. However, Church limped off late in the game, so could miss out. Solly, Kermie, JJ & Pritch are not to be risked until after the international break. This means, another start is possible for the Forest ‘Man of the Match’; Jordan Cousins to keep his place.

I thought he took the game by the scruff of the neck for someone so young, he made some terrific interceptions, he started off attacks, was at the base of the midfield but as we saw towards the end of the game, he was in the box, he hit the post, made a heroic block towards the end to earn us the point. He was all action.

We may well see the return of Ricardo Fuller. I was a huge fan of Rico, when he ?????????????????????????????????????????????????was here. Was never going to play all 90 minutes of every 46 games. But what he did have, was moments of brilliance.

I saw Rico in early September, and had a chat with him, about his spell in SE7.

I enjoyed my time at Charlton. I respect Chris Powell, the backroom staff, the players and the fans. However, when it comes to playing against Charlton, as a professional, I will do my utmost to get the three points for Blackpool.

Dan Gosling has arrived on loan from Newcastle, to give them more depth to their squad. Who can play at RB, RM and CM. Tom Ince has scored 4 goals this tom inceseason, and is Blackpool’s top scorer. Lawrie Wilson and/or Rhoys Wiggins, will have to be on top of their game, against a very exciting prospect.

With three consecutive draws, Paul Ince, may field an attacking line up, to get his team back on a winning streak, against a Charlton side, who have won once this season.
